Carol Anne Brigette
Torrey Pines Christian Church, where she has been the soprano soloist for 10 years, proclaims she has the voice of an angel. She started singing when she was 14 years old and studied with Elinor Stieber. She took First Place two years in a row in the New York State Music Awards. She has shared her God-given talent from New York to San Diego, where she renewed her love affair with opera. She performed Papagena with Classics for Kids. In the Magic Flute, she had the privilege of singing with world-renowned tenor Nolyn Cabahug and she sings with Mezzo Soprano Georgetta Psaros in benefit concerts annually in San Diego. She has performed opera scenes from Cosi fan tutte, the Magic Flute, Rigoletto, Lakme, Faust, the Marriage of Figaro, Die Fledermaus, La Traviata, the Barber of Seville and La Boheme with the Small Opera of San Diego. She also performed at the Sheraton Hotel West, has produced several CD recordings and has won the praise of San Diego music lovers. She is a registered nurse by profession at U.C.S.D. Medical Center.
Stephen L. Chan
He started singing in 1979 as a gospel singer and was in the cast of the musicals The Witness and the Glory of Christmas. He then studied flute for 12 years and performed with the Grossmont Concert Band, the La Mesa Community Band and the San Diego Flute Guild. However, in 1999 he decided to go back to singing and has since fallen in love with opera. He has performed operatic scenes in Cosi fan tutte, the Magic Flute, Rigoletto, the Pearl Fishers, Don Carlo, the Marriage of Figaro, Il Trovatore and the Barber of Seville with the Small Opera of San Diego. He has performed in several concerts and recitals and has recorded a few CDs with his singing partner, Carol Anne Brigette. He rekindled his longtime friendship with Nolyn Cabahug and has sung with him at Sherwood Auditorium in La Jolla, California and annually in converts in San Diego. He has been a general and cosmetic dentist for over 20 years.
